Baby Back Ribs

Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients:

Roasting Pan (to fit the length of the Ribs) Lined in Heavy Duty Foil with enough foil to fold over the Ribs and Seal
3-4 lbs. of Baby Back Ribs
20 cloves of peeled-whole garlic (do not mince, chop or puree’)
Enough Ale (such as Legbiter) to Cover Ribs
Kosher or Sea Salt and Coarse Pepper (mix together in a small bowl, enough to make a light rub for the Ribs)

For the BBQ Sauce:

1 quart pan
1 Stick of Butter
4 cloves of minced garlic
2 tbsps. of chopped parsley
2 tbsps. of dried onion flakes
1 cup of Dark Molasses
1/4 cup of Brown Sugar
1 Bottle of Ale (such as Legbiter)

Cooking Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven 225 degrees

2. Rub the Ribs, both sides and place Ribs in the Foil Lined Roasting Pan

3. Pour enough Ale over the Ribs to cover Them

4. Toss the Garlic Cloves in to Float around the Ribs. Fold the Foil over Enough to Seal the Ribs.

5. Place in Oven for 2 hours and walk away!

Once your timer goes off for the 2 hour alarm:

6. Remove the Ribs (GENTLY-they may be very tender and beware of the steam that has built up in the Sealed Foil)

7. Place the Ribs on the BBQ, baste with your favorite sauce (homemade BBQ sauce to follow) and cook long enough to get the little burnt edges caused from the BBQ Sauce and Serve with All Your Trimmings. If you are not recieving BBQ weather you may use an indoor grill.

Making the BBQ Sauce:

Melt butter, Add Garlic, Add Onion Flakes, Add the Molasses and Brown Sugar until Hot, Bubbles Form and Well Blended and Then Ready for The Ale.

Now you may add more molasses should you wish it to be Thicker. I enjoy the Beer/Ale Taste (especially the foam that bubbles when adding the beer or ale and the sauce gets hot)
