Winner of Battle of the Bands Two Announced

All votes have now been counted and verified and we can reveal that after almost 20,000 votes were placed, the winning band of Battle of the Bands Two is
'West of Galway' from Florida.

Voting was extremely close in the final week of the competition and we must congratulate all of the final bands for encouraging so many of their fans to vote for them. Over 4,000 votes were placed in the final 12 hours of voting so we have been extra careful to ensure that all votes counted were matched to legitimate email addresses etc.

The winning voter receiving two flights to Ireland is Jeanie Miller from Ohio. She will be flying over to enjoy the ‘West of Galway’s performance at Celtic Fusion in July 2010.

On behalf of Strangford Lough Brewing Company and Celtic Fusion Music Festival, we would like to thank all of the bands who entered the competition.
We really enjoyed working with you all on press releases and promotions to encourage as many votes as possible and hope you enjoyed the extra publicity.

Each band who made it to the final round achieved at least 1,500 votes which is amazing considering the small time that they had to encourage people to vote for them. Thanks also to everyone who voted for their favourite band making Battle of the Bands Two a great success. The final count revealed less than 200 votes between 'West of Galway' and the 'Kreellers' who also worked very hard playing extra gigs to ask people to vote for them in the competition.

Battle of the Bands Three is currently being planned for the end of 2010. We can't reveal any further information on the competition just yet, however if you would like to be included in a mailing list to hear more about it when details are released, please email info@slbc.ie

Check back soon for further details on the next competition and please remember to raise a glass of one of our Strangford Lough Brewing Company beers, St Patrick's Best Ale or Legbiter Ale to toast to the finalists of Battle of the Bands Two, The Langers Ball, Green Tea, Maidens IV, The Kreellers and of course to the winners for this competition, 'West of Galway'.

Superior web-site. Nice writing comments system. Apologies for the off-topic post, however I ended up being very impressed with Djokovic’s play in the final of the Australia OPen this yr. The guy is just unrivaled. He exhibited he had been as strong as iron. Just consider about he he can defeat Nadal who had been so determined to succeed as well as was really so energized up while in the 5th set. I am starting to feel that Djokovic has been doing some religious work to take some aids on his side that help him secure this sort of matches up against the greatest players in the globe
